Keith began his Finance Career with Barclays Bank and held various management assignments with the bank in agricultural development and corporate lending divisions. He then assumed a senior role in the bank's credit and risk management team and was responsible for, amongst other things, sector risk analysis, bank exposure monitoring and corporate restructuring.
He also developed a Business Development Strategy Implementation Model in the London & SE Region which was later rolled out into other geographical areas.
More recently Keith has worked as a business consultant, advising on a number of Strategic consulting situations and also designing implementation training programs for many banks; financial institutions and large corporates. He has had extensive experience in the UK, North America, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe and the Far East.-including Malaysia/Singapore/ Hong Kong and China.
Keith's most recent Corporate appointment was as Director-Strategic Consultant: for a large International Financial Services group with HQ in London.
Keith held a Fellow in Banking appointment at the Manchester Business School and is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. He is a member of their National Speakers Panel. Keith has written twelve books on business topics including 'Finance for Farming', Finance for Small Businesses, 'Finance for Business' and 'Cash is King - A Strategic Guide to Cash Management' published by Financial Times/Pitman Publishing; Advanced credit analysis and Problem Loans-both published by Euromoney Publications.Keith's book on Business Lending' was published by Financial World Publishing in 2001 and is recommended study text for the Institute of bankers Lending examination as part of the ACIB qualification.
Keiths latest book is on Shareholder Value-Strategy and was published by IFS in early 2002. Keith is currently developing a new book on International Credit for Elsevier/Academic Press, US publishers:
Over the past three years Keith has delivered a series of International Seminars on:
- Basel II and New Challenges for Financial Institutions
- Strategic Business Management in Financial Institutions-adding Shareholder value (based on the Strategy Book previously mentioned).
Keith has had a close association with many Financial Institutions and Large Corporates for a number of years working on successful Consulting topics such as:
- Financial Analysis and Credit Analysis Systems
- Micro-Financing Credit Analysis Model
- Enterprise wide Risk Management and the development of Credit Policy Guides.
