Mike has been delivering training courses for over 16 years. He worked for Barclays Bank PLC from 1971 to 2004, in a number of credit and team leader roles including 6 years as an audit manager. His final role was as an area manager, responsible for a team of managers and for delivering sales, profits and credit quality. During that time he also acted as a part-time, self employed training consultant He is now a full time consultant.
In both capacities he has established a strong track-record in handling all aspects of the credit appraisal process and training team members and delegates to successfully implement sound credit appraisal policies and procedures. He has a particular strength in developing lending, business development and coaching training.

As an experienced credit manager and trainer, he has specialised in training of financial analysis and business development on assignments with partner banks in Russia, Kuwait, Croatia, Malaysia, Iceland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Mongolia, Albania and Turkey. He is presently engaged as Key Expert and Team Leader on a large SME finance training project in China.

Mike has handled diverse loans credit portfolios, and has also carried out formal training and direct coaching for loan officers and bank staff. His technical skills are complemented by proven excellent management skills, with the ability to rapidly assess needs, mentor teams, and achieve results.
